Description
"Until We Meet Again"
A Japanese lantern ceremony, or Toro-nagashi (part of the Japanese Obon festival) is about remembering and honoring our loved ones who have passed. It is a time of grieving, and a time of celebrating. Messages are written on each lantern to loved ones who have gone on before, and floated out to sea.
For this piece, I highly recommend the metal prints for their bright colors and shimmering glossy luster.
This scene was captured in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.

One of the better pics that I've seen of the lantern floating ceremony. Pretty much just the way I would have gone about it...

Stunning capture! I love the beautiful glow of the lanterns against the complementary colors of the sea. L/F
