The Sewing Soldier
What is more attractive than a handsome young man in uniform who can sew? A handsome young man in uniform who can also cook and clean of course! Even so, this will do for now.
This Serbian soldier is sewing up a uniform on a treadle sewing machine, and looking mighty fine while doing it I might add. He appears to be out in front of his shop, on a cobblestone street or walkway. The photo was taken sometime in the early 1900's, probably around or during WWI.
My wife and I fell in love with this old photograph when we found it, and decided it was more than worth the time and expense of restoring. All of my restorations are a labor of love.
Wouldn't he look great hanging in your sewing or quilting room?!?!

My name is Jayson Tuntland. I am a photographic artist, U.S. Army veteran, and native resident of La Moille, IL. My visual artwork is comprised of both my own photography and antique photograph restoration. Much of my personal photographic work seeks to capture and share the beauty of the natural world. My photographic restorations generally fall into one of two categories. The first being historical preservation. The second being pieces I have sought out and chosen to bring back to life because they speak to me in ways that are hard to articulate, but readily understood by the hearts they are meant to touch. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. Should you have any questions or need assistance of any kind, please feel free...

Thank you. I fought and fought to get this one right, but it was worth it.
