Geo L. Sisler Ice Cream and Green River Butter - Ohio, Illinois
1930's photo of a Sisler's Ice Cream delivery truck circa the 1930's. The shop was presumably in Ottawa, Illinois, and the photo was presumably taken after they installed the delivery body. The shop also looks to have been a Pontiac dealer at the time. Exceptional quality image.
Other signs say: "Briggs Authorized Body Service", "Pontiac Authorized Service", "Du-Pont Auto Re-Finishing Authorized Station", "Formhals and Sons Body and Fender Straightening", and I believe to the left it says "Good Will Used Cars". There is also a hydraulic display of some sort in the window. So much to see in this image!
I recommend this one in a large format print. The detail in this vintage image is absolutely superb.

My name is Jayson Tuntland. I am a photographic artist, U.S. Army veteran, and native resident of La Moille, IL. My visual artwork is comprised of both my own photography and antique photograph restoration. Much of my personal photographic work seeks to capture and share the beauty of the natural world. My photographic restorations generally fall into one of two categories. The first being historical preservation. The second being pieces I have sought out and chosen to bring back to life because they speak to me in ways that are hard to articulate, but readily understood by the hearts they are meant to touch. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. Should you have any questions or need assistance of any kind, please feel free...

I love every single thing about this photograph. The shape of the truck, the lettering ( that font is everything!), the metal Pontiac signs, and the tone of the photo. Gorgeous!
Jayson Tuntland replied:
Thank you Joy! Even better yet for me, this is a local photograph. The little family run Ice Cream business in still operating.
