This is my take on a modern safety bicycle.
I sketched out this No2 Pencil freehand drawing while I was riding shotgun in a work utility van. My dad and I were on our way to a quilting machine factory in Iowa. My mind is always spinning round with strange ideas and design concepts. This bike was a concept that has been rolling around for a while, and I finally had a chance to put the general idea down on paper.
The design is relatively simple and is loosely based on a large penny farthing (high wheel bicycle) rear wheel, and a standard 26" front wheel. This concept has little to do with practical purpose or mechanical advantage, and a lot more to do with "Because I can".
Hope you enjoy.
P.S. If you have more money than you know what to do with, and would actually like a bike like this made for you... I am a craftsman on many levels, and would enjoy a challenging, well paying, custom project.

My name is Jayson Tuntland. I am a photographic artist, U.S. Army veteran, and native resident of La Moille, IL. My visual artwork is comprised of both my own photography and antique photograph restoration. Much of my personal photographic work seeks to capture and share the beauty of the natural world. My photographic restorations generally fall into one of two categories. The first being historical preservation. The second being pieces I have sought out and chosen to bring back to life because they speak to me in ways that are hard to articulate, but readily understood by the hearts they are meant to touch. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. Should you have any questions or need assistance of any kind, please feel free...

I think, perhaps, that I might survive a greater distance (let alone mounting the seat) on this rather than the old design. Great fun, Jayson. - Mike (V)

Thank you Mike. I think this one would actually be a fun build, and would be plenty usable once completed.
