I love old covered bridges :)

Jayson Tuntland replied:

They are pretty interesting. This one is still standing. Amazing testament to the design and construction.

Artist's Description

" Five dollars fine for driving more than twelve horses mules or cattle at one time or for leading any beast faster than a walk on or across this bridge"

This red covered bridge was originally built in 1863, over Bureau Creek, just north of Princeton Illinois. Today it still stands as a testament to old fashioned quality construction, and the county's love for it's historical significance.

About Jayson Tuntland

Jayson Tuntland

My name is Jayson Tuntland. I am a photographic artist, U.S. Army veteran, and native resident of La Moille, IL. My visual artwork is comprised of both my own photography and antique photograph restoration. Much of my personal photographic work seeks to capture and share the beauty of the natural world. My photographic restorations generally fall into one of two categories. The first being historical preservation. The second being pieces I have sought out and chosen to bring back to life because they speak to me in ways that are hard to articulate, but readily understood by the hearts they are meant to touch. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. Should you have any questions or need assistance of any kind, please feel free...
