After my time in Iraq, while still under the employ of the Army, most of my off hours were spent searching a beautiful but crowded island for a place to be alone. This was one of my quiet places. I'm sure the place had an official name, but I called it Coconut Beach. Since I didn't tell anyone else about the place, having my own name for it held little consequence.
The beach was in Hawaii, on the North Shore of Oahu, but it could really be anywhere. For me this piece is about finding rest in being alone, and the beauty of God's creation.
I hope it brings you to a peaceful quiet place.
